First I want you to think about all of the places you enjoy going, and things you and your partner enjoy doing together. NOT JUST the pretty ones, but the antique shops, the coffee shop, the river, etc.

Next, jot everything down in your notes app or on a scrap piece of paper! I mean EVERYTHING!

This is the most important step of the process… I want you to pull up Pinterest or Google, and start looking at examples of photos taken in similar locations! For example, if you and your boo enjoy coffee on Saturday mornings before you antique shop the day away, you may look up “couples photos at coffee shop” or “couple photos in an antique shop.”

Anything you see that you absolutely hate examples of, mark off of your list! This should help you narrow down potential locations for your photos!

If you guys like to sit on the lake and he fishes while you read, then we can bring a blanket and capture images in a space you guys frequent! You can lay the blanket down together, bring a book, etc!

The options are endless, and always full of potential. I understand the want for a pretty background, but not every location can tell your story quite like the ones around you.
